Montrose Daily Press —— Joel Blocker / Daily Press Kit Hoover, the Midwest culinary specialist for Taste of Home Cooking School, works on his first dish in front of a packed audience at the Montrose Pavilion Tuesday evening. Hoover has served in numerous food service positions around the country, including a year "Frugal Gourmet,” on PBS. The Taste of Home Cooking School/Show is sponsored every-other-year by the Montrose Daily Press, along with co-sponsors, that include Tri-River Appliance, a Montrose business that donated the evening’s top prize.
