Who Reads State Vibe?
State Vibe is for anyone interested in Colorado. Whether you’re a local looking for the latest events or a tourist looking for the inside scoop, State Vibe aims to connect the information seekers with the resident experts. Many Coloradans are transplants from another city or country, who bring a fresh perspective to Colorado. They have much to share about this new place that they call home and want to see it continue to thrive into a more prosperous community. Also, there is no shortage of proud Colorado natives that are more than willing to share their good times and bad times living in Colorado. Many of them can tell you their favorite stories – you’ll hear about a huge variety of interests like their favorite trails, restaurants, gardens, bands, and the remarkable weather!
Free Expression
State Vibe believes in free expression — the free flow of ideas and free press. However we reserve the right to remove any content that we believe is damaging, disparaging, destructive, or just flat out depressing.
We like what Ben Franklin said, “It is unreasonable to imagine that printers approve of everything they print…It is likewise unreasonable what some assert, That printers ought not to print anything but what they approve; since … an end would thereby be put to free writing, and the world would afterwards have nothing to read but what happened to be the opinions of printers.”
Legality of Feeds
In response to queries concerning syndication services and news aggregation resources such as State Vibe:
There is a harmonious relationship between Colorado news publishers and ourselves. This is due to the fact that we are not taking anything from them, or breaking any copyright laws, State Vibe does direct readers back to the original article, on the website it was originally published. This, therefore increases the website’s traffic, often by a significant amount. We do not copy the articles; the headlines that are shown are unaltered from the newsfeed itself. Each post links back to the source of the article only, and is fully attributed.
State Vibe is Colorado focused and does not feature any commercial or revenue generating features on the StateVibe.com website. In fact, State Vibe does less than a search engine or feed reader in that it doesn’t run advertisements next to your feed content. Our goal is merely to encourage the free flow of ideas with community discussion amongst those interested in Colorado information. People don’t want tons of news articles (there’s too much of that), they want aggregation (ie, efficiency and ease), which there isn’t enough of. If you are a publisher who disagrees with this symbiotic arrangement, contact us at the address below and we will remove all headlines, related posts, and links to your site promptly.
